Henri Fantin-Latour - Portrait of Mlle Huquier, 1957
Stone Lithograph after a work by Henri Fantin-Latour
28 ¾ × 20 ½ in | 73 × 52.1 cm
Edition of 500
A refined stone lithograph printed in 1957 by the master printers at Mourlot Studios, Paris. Created after the painting Portrait of Mlle Huquier by Henri Fantin-Latour (1836–1904), this piece was published in an edition of 500 for the exhibition Le Portrait Français de Watteau à David, held at the Orangerie des Tuileries in Paris from December 21, 1957 to February 28, 1958.
Honoring the evolution of French portraiture, this lithograph reflects the delicate tonality and poetic restraint characteristic of Fantin-Latour’s vision. Though posthumously reproduced, it conveys the timeless grace of the original, brought to life through the impeccable craftsmanship of Mourlot.
