A rare and elegant original exhibition poster, created for Costumes Français du XVIIIème Siècle, an exhibition organized by the Société de l’Histoire du Costume. The exhibition was held at the Musée Carnavalet in Paris from November 9, 1954, to January 9, 1955, within the museum’s beautifully preserved antique woodwork salons.
Printed in three tones at the legendary Mourlot studios, renowned for their collaborations with leading modern artists, this lithograph is based on a photograph by G. de la Bégassière, capturing the refinement and detail of 18th-century French fashion.
