    Dmitri Aleksandrovich Prigov (1940 – 2007) war ein russischer Schriftsteller und Künstler. Prigov war Teil der inoffiziellen Moskauer Konzeptualisten während der Ära der Sowjetunion und wurde 1986 kurzzeitig in eine psychiatrische Klinik eingewiesen.

    1986 wurde Prigov vom K.G.B verhaftet, nachdem er eine Straßenaktion durchgeführt hatte, bei der er Passanten poetische Texte überreichte, und in eine psychiatrische Einrichtung geschickt, bevor er nach Protesten von Dichtern wie Bella Akhmadulina freigelassen wurde.

    2011 präsentierte das Hermitage Museum eine wichtige monografische Ausstellung von Prigovs Kunst in Venedig während der 54. Biennale.
