Hedonism Gallery is pleased to present a rare group of five original interior illustrations from the 1953 Little Golden BookMickey Mouse Goes Christmas Shopping (#D33), produced by the Walt Disney Studio and adapted by Disney Legends Bob Moore and Xavier Atencio. These charming illustrations capture Mickey Mouse guiding his nephews, Mortie and Ferdie, through a festive Christmas adventure, from toy department mischief to a memorable encounter with Santa’s Helper.
Executed in gouache with airbrushed highlights on two-ply Bristol boards, the artworks range in size from approximately 6.25" × 4.5" to 9.5" × 12.5" and showcase the storytelling and design excellence of Disney studio artists of the 1950s. The lot includes a first-printing copy of the published book, offering provenance and historical context.
