A similar bronze sculpture by Ernst Neizvestny is in the collection of the Mead Art Museum at Amherst College.
A 20th Century Modernist bronze art statue of Ernst Neizvestny (Russian, 1925-2016). The work depicting an abstract muscular torso figure, modeled with oblong space to the center, and tense grip hands held together, surmounting a rectangular form wood base. Bears a hand inscription to the underside of base.

The sculpture was created in 1960s.
Condition: Good overall condition having normal to mild age related surface wear and patina.
The name Torso is indicated in the Mead Art Museum and on the wooden base of the sculpture. However, in the Grosvenor Gallery documents there is a different name - Clasped hands (small).
PROVENANCE
