Exclusive Christmas Card Collection by Salvador Dalí – A Unique Holiday Gift!
The Hedonism Gallery is proud to present an extraordinary and rare gift for this Christmas season: a collection of 13 original vintage Christmas cards designed by the legendary surrealist Salvador Dalí. Released between 1958 and 1970 for Hoechst Ibérica SA and published by La Polígrafa S.A. in Barcelona, these cards are a true collector’s treasure. The cards are in excellent condition and feature 2 Dalí’s black marker signatures, making them even more unique.
Each card measures 11.6 х 8.5 in (29.5 x 21.7 cm), and they are elegantly housed in a yellow folder with Dalí's handwritten signature in black marker, adding to the rarity and exclusivity of this set.
From 1958 to 1976, Dalí created a series of 19 holiday cards for Hoechst Ibérica, a Barcelona-based company. These cards were distributed annually to doctors and pharmacists throughout Spain, infusing a surrealist touch into the traditional holiday greeting. Dalí’s personal handwritten messages or descriptions often accompanied the designs, making these cards even more special since the artist rarely took on commissions.
The designs, often centered around Christmas themes, medicinal plants, and Dalí’s recurring motif of a pupa transforming into a butterfly, capture the surreal spirit of the artist. Some of these cards have even been exhibited at the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation in Figueres, Spain.
This collection is a rare opportunity to own a piece of art history, combining the magic of Christmas with the genius of Salvador Dalí. Whether as a gift for an art lover or a unique addition to your collection, these cards are a timeless tribute to the master of surrealism.
Don't miss out on this incredibly rare find!
