Alfred Manessier

Alfred Manessier (1911 – 1993) was a non-figurative French painter, stained glass artist, and tapestry designer, part of the new School of Paris and the Salon de Mai. Manessier was associated with the Lyrical Abstraction movement after the Second World War. He is also known for his vibrantly colored lithographs. Manessier’s art stands as a model of hope in a world searching for meaning.
